Bill was a retired Captain in the Army National Guard and worked as a salesman in Maryland before moving his family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1964. After moving to Phoenix, Bill continued to serve in “The Guard” and began working for the Arizona Republic as a Field Office Manager. Eventually, he retired from “the paper” in 1988.
