Willie Marteniez Jr., 53, of El Mirage, AZ passed away on December 23, 2024.
Willie was born on January 1, 1971 to Willie and Eula Mae Marteniez in Parker, AZ. He grew up in Parker and the surrounding areas attending Blake Elementary, Wallace Middle School and Parker High School. He excelled in sports and academics and was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduating from Parker High School in 1989, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a veteran of Desert Storm, a non-nuclear welder and served his country for 10 years.
In 2015 he graduated with honors from Glendale Community College with a degree in Automotive Technology and started his second career. Working on anything mechanical was truly his passion.
In 2011 he remarried his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Marteniez. Willie was a loving and proud father of three Sons; Quinton and Joshua of Newport News, Virginia; Ethan of El Mirage, AZ and a Daughter; Lola of El Mirage, AZ.
Willie was preceeded in death by his parents Willie Marteniez Sr. and Eula Mae Marteniez. Auntie Mama Lillie Freeman; brother Antonio Marteniez Sr. and niece Brianna Brown.
In addition to his wife and children, Willie is survived by sisters: Ora Crush of Phoenix, AZ; Lois Marteniez of Austin, TX; Deborah Wilkerson of Phoenix, AZ and Roberta Marteniez (Blake) of Las Vegas, NV. Also, 19 Nieces; 16 Nephews; 38 great nieces and nephews; 6 great-great nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Willie also leaves behind a large community of friends who he considered family.
He was a tender and beautiful soul who loved his family immensely, was a faithful friend and lit up every room he walked into. He will be greatly missed.
