William Prough

Mr. William (Bill) Duane Prough, born on July 1, 1936 in Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully at age 81 on May 2, 2018 at Hospice in Surprise, Arizona. William graduated from Elkhart High School in 1954 and served in the Navy from 1954 to 1957. He worked for United Air Lines in South Bend, IN and Elk Grove Village, IL until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed traveling and keeping in touch with his Navy shipmates. He spent many years volunteering at Del Webb Hospital and at his church. William was the beloved husband of Shirley (Hammon) for 58 years. Those who wish may donate in William’s name to Hospice of the Valley or Horizon’s Community Church. A memorial service, officiated by Tony Brittin, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Horizon’s Community Church, 14120 N. 79th Ave., Peoria, AZ 85381.
