Sun City, AZ & formerly of Lawrence, MA – William J Kopacz, 85, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He grew up in Lawrence, MA and served honorably in the Marines, followed by a move to AZ with a football scholarship at former Arizona State College, now University. He married and remained in AZ, staying involved in bowling and baseball leagues, acquiring numerous trophies with long-term friends. A steadfast fan of the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Cardinals, we will miss shared excitement over watching them and keeping each other informed about game times.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Lori, his son, Tim/“Williamson” (Gayle), and daughter, Dawn (Brian), along with grandchildren Chris, Camille, Micah (Shaina), and former daughter-in-law Barbara. He is also survived by his aunt Theresa and sister-in-law Marilyn (widow of Ray), both of MA and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Bob (Barbara and then Viola), John (Elinor) of MA branch, as well as sisters-in-law, Maria, Mercy, and Pauline of AZ branch. Bill cherished and kept long-time friendships, and we embrace all of our family and friends.
