William Hellman

William C. "Bill" Hellman, 79, of Peoria passed away October 31, 2008. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a great friend to all. Bill was an Arizona native born in Phoenix. He retired from the IBEW Local #769 and was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann; children Rita & Joe Hannum of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Hellman of Oklahoma City, OK, Debbie & Harold Bloomer of Show Low, AZ, William "Chris" & Janet Hellman of Spokane, WA, Therese Halsey of Peoria, AZ and Rick & Melissa Acord of Peoria, AZ; step-children Debbie & Frank Lauro of Coeur d Alene, ID, Theresa Gerbig of Phoenix, AZ, David & Cathy Gerbig of Glendale, AZ, Chuck Gerbig of Yale, OK and Chris Gerbig of Robin Warner, GA ; sister Jean Hemingway; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; preceding him in death is son Chuck Hellman in 1991. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2008 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ.
