Wayne Lee Goff, of Sun City West, passed away on June 3, 2014, at Serenity Hospice Palliative Care center, with his mother, June, and longtime family friends, Michael and Tonette, by his side, looking more peaceful than he had looked in many months. He is survived by his mother, June Goins, nieces Christy Nebesio and Carey Goff, nephew Patrick Goff, and countless close personal friends. Wayne was born in 1950 in a small town in Texas called Bonham, to June (May) and Dwayne Goff, but lived most of his life in Orange County, California, with a short stint in San Francisco in the middle, before moving to Sun City West in 2006. Despite his physical limitations in the later years of his life, Wayne made the most of his situation, and whenever possible, lived life to the fullest. He loved the ocean, Hollywood movies, and just chatting with people he loved. He charmed the pants off of most everyone he met. As we say goodbye to our beloved Wayne, we are reminded how short and fragile life is and remember to not only love the people we care about in our lives, but tell them we love them as often as possible! Wayne certainly did that. We love you Wayne, and we will miss you with all of our hearts. Though we are burdened with sadness, we are slightly less burdened with the knowledge that you are in a better place and free from the limitations that this life bestowed upon you. Services for Wayne will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center located at 12420 North 103rd Avenue, Sun City, AZ 85351. Reception to follow at Menke.
