Wanetta Hicks

Wanetta G. Hicks was called from her earthly home of 86 years to return to her heavenly Father and beloved family on December 3rd. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 18, 1927 and has resided in Arizona since 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hicks, of 65 years. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Trimble (Tom), Debbee Phillips (George), and Lori Jones (Michael). Six grandchildren, Shane Trimble (Gina), Kelly Kennedy (Brigitte), Tracie Chirumbolo (Tony), Kyle Kennedy, Natalie and Brandy Jones. Five great grandchildren, Caylie, Lyndsie, and Nicolas Chirumbolo, Amber and Johnathan Kennedy. Wanetta enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading, and spending time with all of her family. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Christ Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd, Peoria, AZ. Reception will immediately follow the service. Inurnment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Arizona. Our family would like to thank them for their wonderful care and compassion.
