Wallace Ackley

Wallace Lee Ackley, 83, passed away on April 12th, 2019 at the Choice Rehab Facility in Sun City West, Arizona. He went to be with the Lord with his family by his side. Wallace married Carol Slater on March 22, 1971 and she survives. They have one son Michael Ackley and daughter Michele Conte. Mr. Ackley was born on January 21st, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Clifford and Ruth Ackley who preceded him in death. Wallace was also preceded in death by brother Dovis Ackley, sister Garnetta Forth and brother Wesley Ackley. He is survived by sister Wilma Rhodes, brother Arthur Ackley with wife Mary of Mt. Vernon, sister Ruth Ella Harris of Mt. Vernon, and brother Gary Ackley with wife Rita of Mt. Vernon. Wallace enlisted in the National Guard and later worked as a self-employed carpet installer and a Bus Driver for Beck's for 41 years.
