Virginia "Ginny" Wheir

August 25, 1921 — June 24, 2020

Virginia (Ginny) Wright Wheir passed peacefully in her sleep on June 24, 2020. Ginny was born August 25, 1921 in Superior, Wisconsin to William Wright and Jensine Scamfer Wright. She has one sibling, Wilberta Wright Richmond, now deceased. After graduating high school Ginny moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and began a 35-year career with AT&T. During this time, she married Clarence Januszewski. When Clarence passed away Ginny met Charles John Wheir, at AT&T, and they married. In 1977 Ginny and Charles retired to Sun City, AZ. Both were avid golfers, party hosts and world travelers. They were living the dream and enjoying life. When Charles passed away Ginny continued to play golf, attend and give parties, volunteer at Boswell Hospital, and travel the world. Her last big trip was to South America in 1995 at the age of 93. She cruised and traveled by land for two months, enjoying every minute. Ginny is survived by two nieces, Patricia Breitenhirt of AZ, Jacqueline Cloyd of MD and a stepson, Donald Wheir of WI. She also has many great nephews and nieces. Ginny will be missed by her family and friends. She lived to the fullest and had a wonderful life.
