Vincent Li Vigni, loving husband of Phyllis Connizzo Li Vigni, loving father of Joann (Rodney) Samplawski, Lisa (Carl) Doot, Rosalie (Michael) Johnstone, and Vincent J. Li Vigni, loving grandfather of Stephanie (James) McGill, Kiara (Nate) Tholl, Michael Samplawski, and Matthew Samplawski, loving great-grandfather of John and Tristan McGill died on Monday, May 18, 2020 at his family home in Sun City, Arizona. He succumbed to cancer at age 90 after several months of fighting alongside his wife and family. He was born on October 15, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Anna Li Vigni. He joined the air force with a friend and served our country. After the air force, he went to college for 2 years at Cape Girardeau in Missouri.
On April 17, 1955, he married Phyllis Connizzo and went to work at McDonald Aircraft. In 1958 Vince lost his job and decided to go to barber school with the help of his father-in-law. Vince and Phyllis decided to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona in 1965 where he opened his own barber shop on 35th Avenue and Indian School Road. He then took hairdressing classes and bought a motor home to go to his customers until he retired. Upon retirement, Vince and Phyllis moved to Sun City, Arizona. Vince had a passion for golf and cooking. After moving to Sun City, he would golf 6 days a week, basically every day except Sunday. They raised one son, Vince, and three daughters, Joann, Lisa and Rosalie.
Vince was preceded in death by his father, Frank and his mother, Anna, and his brother Joe. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his sister Maria Puzniak, his four children, Joann, Vince, Lisa and Rosalie, and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Kiara, Michael and Matthew, and his great-grandchildren John and Tristan and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
