Vicki Josephine Coulter, 74, of Glendale, AZ, passed to eternal life on December 12, 2018
Vicki was born in Miami, AZ to Patricia and Donald Guyer Sr. on May 13, 1944. She went to school at Miami High School in Miami, AZ. She married Jim Coulter Sr. on August 17, 1963 in Miami, AZ. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and worked as a teacher for Deer Valley School District until her retirement in 1998.
Vicki was a loving and dedicated wife, and she and her husband, Jim Coulter raised their children in a loving, caring, and nurturing home; a home that was always open to friends and family. Known simply as “mom” to many, she loved others deeply and without judgement, and was a constant source of support and strength. She was a thinker, a reader, a scholar, a singer and musician, and a deadly shot with a Ruger 22 in her younger years. Vicki also loved the Lord and the church, and took great joy in singing in the choir when she was able. She was a natural teacher who had a passion for studying American history and all things Civil War. The world is a little brighter, a little smarter, more loved, and more beautiful because of the life she lived.
Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Donald Guyer Sr. and her mother, Patricia Guyer. She is survived by her husband, Jim Coulter Sr., daughter Dawn Ringe and her husband Jeff Ringe Sr., son James Coulter Jr. and his wife Heather Coulter, brother Donald Guyer Jr and his wife Rhonda Guyer, grandson Jeff Ringe Jr. and his wife Murinda Ringe, granddaughter Katie Phillips and her husband Michael Phillips, granddaughter Hannah Coulter, and grandson Christopher Coulter, nephew Aaron Saum and his wife Tracy Bray, and nephew Brian Guyer and his fiancé Courtney Debevec.
