Ulla K. Kangas of Youngtown, Arizona, passed away in her home on July 13. She is survived by her two children, Scott Ramey and Lisa Lancaster, four grand-children, and sisters in Finland, Pirkko, Pirjo and Sirka. Ulla was born in Finland, married in Switzerland and moved to the United States in 1963. She lived in Michigan until 1972, then moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she lived for four years. Since then, Ulla lived in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sedona and most recently in Youngtown, Arizona. Ulla was a vibrant and outgoing person who loved to cook, sing and laugh. She was known for her creativity in the kitchen and generous hospitality. No one would leave her home hungry. She was also a special friend to animals, having rescued dozens of cats over the years.
