Theodore Gatten

Theodore Dean Gatten, of Sun City went home to be with His Lord March 28, 2015.  Ted was born October 20, 1927 in St. Paul, MN to Jesse and Lucy Gatten.  He was the seventh of nine children and grew up in the town of Danbury, WI.  He graduated from high school in Webster, WI in 1945 and went on to serve in the Navy for three years.  In Minneapolis, MN on June 18, 1951 he married the love of his life, Marylee Johnson who survives him along with five of their six sons.  Ted was a beloved grandfather to 14 and had six great-grandchildren.  He retired from the City of Phoenix MIS department after 13 years as a systems and procedures analyst.  Music was Ted’s love and he used his abilities in choirs and in preaching ministry in MN, WI, and Arizona.  He and Marylee were active at Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix and at Grace Bible Church of Sun City.  Public visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ  85351.  A celebration of Ted’s life will be Wednesday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church of Sun City, 19280 N. 99th Ave. 85373.  Memorial donations can be made to Grace Bible Church of Sun City, Missions Fund and/or Things To Come Mission, www.tcmusa.org.
