Teresa Madarang

Teresa “Tessie” Madarang September 26, 1950-December 15, 2020 Teresa passed away on December 15, 2020 at the age of 70. Teresa was born on September 26, 1950 in Manila, Philippines to Vicente Sr. and Milagros (Pacis) Festejo. She received her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition from Centro Escolar University in 1970. She married the love of her life, Dr. Leo Madarang on August 22, 1972. They lived and raised their 4 children in Flint, Michigan. Later, they retired in Sun City West, Arizona in 2006. She was very devout in her Catholic faith and to her family. She was an altar server at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She loved to Zumba, travel, cook for her grandchildren and children, and spend time with family and friends. Surviving are: loving husband of 48 years, Dr. Leo Madarang; children, Joyce (Alfred) Itchon, Candice (Scott) Dalton, Michelle (Jason) Fong and Leo Jr. (Angela) Madarang; grandchildren, Josephine, Andrew, Angeline and John Itchon, Mason and Miles Dalton, Benjamin and Samantha Fong, and Reagan Madarang. She also leaves behind 11 brothers and sisters: Mario, Vicente Jr., Evaristo, Enrique, Jane, Edwin, Mary Ann, Rita, Ramonita, Honorio and Clarissa; as well as many nieces and nephews and numerous other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Sr. and Milagros. Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3-5pm at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 North 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona, followed by a rosary at 5pm. The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 14818 W. Deer Valley Drive, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
