Teresa Burkey

Teresa Arvilla Burkey, 91, of Sun City, Arizona passed away on May 19, 2010 at her home. Teresa was born August 26, 1918 in Milford, Nebraska to William R. and Lydia (Steckley) Eicher. A homemaker, Teresa came to Arizona in 1954 from Hesston, Kansas. Preceeding her in death is her husband of 69 years, Perry Burkey on July 4, 2006, and grandsons Christopher Smith and Chad Martin. Teresa is survived by her daughters, Lillian Smith-Laurinec & Jerry, Margaret Martin & Dell and Bonnie Simons; brothers Lloyd and Floyd Eicher; sister Violet Troyer; grandchildren David, Reg, Kelly, Monty, Stephen, Teresa and Georgette; 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona.
