Steven Marcelo

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Steven Danny Marcelo, age 45, on June 29, 2022, unexpectedly of natural causes. He is survived by his daughters Naiya and Aziza, mother Roberta, step-father John, brothers Robert, Alexander, Gabriel, Vincent and many other family and friends. Stevie was proud of his Mexican roots, born in East Los Angeles and a die hard Dodgers fan. He grew up in Southern California where he attended Edison High School and received a Bachelor of Arts at California State University Long Beach. He lived in Glendale, Arizona since 2004 where he served as a dedicated employee to the State of Arizona. As an Employment Specialist in the Developmental Disabilities Division his care and compassion for others shined through and he touched the lives of many. Stevie was a passionate musician, a stellar guitarist and vocalist, with an admirable talent as a songwriter. He had a love for epic movies, everything baseball, was an excellent cook with an appreciation for good eats. He was a proud, loving father, son, brother, friend, always supportive of others and valued quality time with family and friends. All that knew him will always remember him by his big-heart, remarkable sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. His compassionate, charismatic, playful spirit and heart-warming smile will truly be missed. May his soul be at peace. Services will be held at Menke Funeral and Cremation center on July 14th at 11am, all are welcome
