Scott Gregory Frost, age 44, died on Friday, February 3, 2017. He was born on October 1, 1972 in Phoenix, Arizona to Catherine Taylor and adopted by James Bretall. He achieved an associate’s degree and certification as an x-ray technician. Scott enjoyed helping people and spoke proudly of following in his mother footsteps, with her love of medicine as a registered nurse. Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Heather; son, Jacob; daughters, Elise and Siena; step-daughters, Emily (Zachary) and Laura (Patrick); father and mother-in-law, John and Sharon; sister, Melody Jacobs; six grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Scott was a kind-hearted man that enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He volunteered at church and was passionate about sharing his faith. He had an artist’s eye and enjoyed sketching, painting, and making survival bracelets. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to tour many countries while stationed in Germany as a M1 Armor Crewman. He was proud to serve his country and earned many metals and honors. He also enjoyed reading, playing cards, going to the movies, and collecting knives. Scott could build just about anything with his hands and took pride in keeping a clean home. He had a soft spot for the family pets and enjoyed evening walks watching the sunsets. Scott was a tender father that enjoyed watching Jacob’s martial arts, playing games, and going for bike rides. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Radiant Church, 15522 W. Paradise Ln. Surprise, AZ, 85374 on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Scott’s final resting place will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ 85024. Interment services at the cemetery will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Scott’s honor to Radiant Church.
