In loving memory of Sarah Ellen Elieff, a cherished soul who left us after 83 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Born on September 3, 1940 in Gurdon, Arkansas, she lived her life with passion, raising a family that she adored and exploring the world with her beloved spouse, John. Together, they traveled around Arizona, Europe, China, and Russia, making memories that would forever warm the hearts of those who knew them.
As a mother to 3 children, Tammy, Jerry Glen, and Shari, and grandmother to 5 grandchildren – Matthew, Jenna, Kylie, Colin and Jody. Sarah Elieff embodied grace, kindness, and resilience. Her home was a place of joy, where stories from her travels intertwined with the deep roots of southern family traditions. She filled each room with warmth and love, always making time for anyone who needed her.
Sarah had a deep love for gardening, spending countless hours nurturing her flowers, vegetables, and herbs. Her garden was her sanctuary, where she found peace and joy, carefully tending to each plant with patience and love.
An expert with a needle and thread, Sarah had a passion for sewing that spanned decades. She created everything from intricate quilts to beautiful handmade clothing, often gifting her creations to loved ones. Each stitch was made with thought and love, and many in her family still treasure the quilts and garments she made. Her stitches also guided the Apollo astronauts safely to earth from the first moon landing in 1969.
What truly set Sarah apart was her generous spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel special, no matter how busy life became. Her hospitality was unmatched—her kitchen table was always filled with home-cooked southern meals and open to anyone in need of comfort or company. She touched the lives of so many with her quiet, yet powerful acts of generosity, always seeking to lift others up.
Sarah Elieff also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren, Cordae, Meila, Wren, William, Amelia, Ethan, and Aaron who will grow up hearing stories of their great-grandmother’s extraordinary life and her boundless compassion.
Her life was rich with love, family traditions, and the spirit of giving. As the sun sets on Sarah’s earthly journey, her legacy continues to shine through the hearts of her family. Her laughter, warmth, and generous spirit will forever be cherished.
