She was Christened Sarah Annabelle Richards; however, she never liked Sarah Annabelle. She liked Anne. So, every one called her Anne. She was loved deeply by her family and the friends she made through her life. Her mission in life was to make all people happy. At 7 years old, her family homesteaded in 100 Mile House, British Columbia, Canada. At the age of 16 she returned to the state of Washington to continue her education. She was employed at a logging camp during her schooling. She raised a baby deer and a baby bear at the camp, which were eventually released to the wild. While she was at the camp there was a fire that isolated them for 20 days. Anne met Bill Wall in Seattle, Washington and they were married 1941. To that union they had a daughter, Sandra. Most of her life Anne was a bartender. The family moved to Almira Washington in 1961 and purchased a Steak House. People travelled many miles and even came from other countries to enjoy their great steaks. Anne was always the belle of the party at work or wherever she went. She loved music and playing cards. She was always good for a joke or telling funny stories. All who knew Anne loved her, and were touched by her love and laughter. After her husband, Bill, passed away she moved to Kennewick WA, to be closer to her granddaughter and family. She then moved to Gillette, Wyoming, and finally moved with her daughter to Arizona. Anne made many of good friends along the way. Anne is survived by her daughter Sandra (Gilbert) Burkle, Sun City AZ.
