Ruth Dodson

Ruth F. Dodson, 92, of Sun City, Arizona passed away January 3, 2011. Ruth was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 26, 1918. An advertising artist for fashion print ads, she moved to Arizona in 1972 and worked for Goldwater's Dept Store (known at that time as Rhodes). After the stores closure in the valley, she free-lanced with every store in Sun City as clients. Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 happy years, Delbert Felten in 1971 in Wisconsin. After moving to Sun City and through her association in the Sun City Organ Club, she met another wonderful man who after 16 years of happiness also precedes her, second husband DeVere Dodson. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment will follow at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ.
