Russell Dix

Russell Dix of Sun City passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008. He was born August 4, 1928 in Janesville, Wisconsin. He married Joyce Gunderson in 1950 and worked at General Motors as a Journeyman Electrician until his retirement. They enjoyed a few years of recreational travel and retired to Sun City in 1987. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 2006. Surviving are two sons, Dale Cathy Dix of Massena, New York, and Dennis Laura Dix of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a daughter, Debra Dix of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by granddaughters Trinity Dix of St. Paul, Minnesota, Stephanie Clifford of Arlington, Virginia, Jennifer Dix of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Allison Dix of Massena, New York. He is survived by one grandson, Connor Dix of Massena, New York. He is also survived by a sister, Adeline Saladino of South Beloit, Illinois and a brother, Roger Dix of Janesville, Wisconsin. Russell was an active member of the American Legion, United Auto Workers UAW, and actively volunteered in many local organizations including the Sun City Prides. Visitation will be Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, with a prayer service at 11:00am, at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.
