Ruby Stemple, Sun City, AZ, quietly passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at the age of 94. She was born on September 14, 1920, the youngest of the eight children of Henry and Elizabeth Tefft, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She married Louis E. Miller on February 28, 1942 and delivered one daughter on January 19, 1943. On July 9, 1943, Captain Miller was killed while testing a plane at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Ruby moved with her infant child to Marietta, Ohio, where Captain Miller's family resided, and remained there until July, 1958, when she returned to Dayton. She was employed as a Methodist church secretary for many years, both in Marietta and Dayton. In 1967, she married John Stemple, who passed away in 1995. She moved to Arizona in 1997 where she remained until she passed. Ruby leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Paul Underwood, two grandsons and one granddaughter, two step daughters, two step-sons, five grandchildren, two step-grandsons, a step-granddaughter, and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Willowbrook United Methodist Church in Sun City.
