Ruby Yvonne Kenniger, born on April 27, 1941, in Bremen, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home in Peoria, Arizona, on March 15, 2025. She was a beacon of love and laughter in the lives of many, and her departure leaves a profound void that will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ruby, affectionately known as a vibrant spirit who could joke around with the best of them, dedicated her life to her family, whom she cherished above all else. Her warm heart drew people together, making any gathering feel like a cherished event. Ruby loved big family gatherings, where laughter and connection were abundant, creating memories that will be treasured by her loved ones for years to come.

A talented crafter and crocheter, Ruby spent countless happy hours indulging in her hobbies. She had a particular joy in thrifting, always on the lookout for hidden treasures. Her love for her dogs—doting on her beloved Yorkies, Maltese, and Schnauzers—further demonstrated her nurturing spirit and her ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Pam, and her husband Jim, along with her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored beyond words. She shared a special bond with her brother, Calvin Whitmer, and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She joins in eternal rest her dear husband, Jack, and her beloved sons, David and Ronald McElwain. Ruby is also reunited with her brother, Dave Whitmer, and her parents, providing solace to those who mourn her presence.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on March 26, 2025, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM, with a time for reflection and remembrance scheduled to conclude at 1:30 PM.

Ruby Yvonne Kenniger leaves a legacy of love, creativity, and family connection that will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the joy that comes from life's simplest moments.
