Rosemary Peterson

Rosemary Peterson passed away to be with the Lord on November 27, 2016 at the age of 83. She was born October 2, 1933, Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of Anthony and Rose Klyczek. She became a Registered Nurse at age 22. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Leo College near Tampa, FL in 1979. Rosemary was a nurse and caregiver at the Child Development Center in Lakeland, FL for five years. She retired as a nurse from Rancho Hospital in Downey, CA after 17 years of service. Rosemary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL from 1960 – 1979. She was a Girl Scout leader for ten of those years. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Whittier, CA and Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Habra, CA from 1979 – 2000. In November of 1988 she and Robert Peterson received the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. They moved to Sun City, AZ in 2000. Rosemary was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Clement Church in Sun City for the past 16 years. Rosemary and Bob loved to travel together and participate in activities for Sun City residents. Rosemary was a devout Catholic and an inspiration to many people. She was a pillar of support to many in times of need, always caring about other people’s concerns and giving of herself before her own needs were met. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always treasured her family and friends. Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Mary and Anne Perron, her son, Edward Perron, son-in-law, Steve, daughter-in-law, Karen, grandsons, Ryan, Sean, and Davis, granddaughters, Alyssa and Kristen, sister, Delores, nephews, Robert and Jeff Wald and the Klyczek family. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 5 at 10:00am at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Web Blvd, Sun City, with a reception afterwards in the church hall. A burial ceremony will be held January 7 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Fullerton, CA. Donations can be made to abcChildrensAidPh.org, a charity to support abandoned children in the Philippines.
