Rosemarie (Stanislaw) Van Sant, 89 of Peoria, AZ passed away on May 12, 2017. She was born on September 6, 1927 in Cicero, IL to Steve and Veronika (Klimko) Stanislav, the youngest of 5 children. Rosemarie was married briefly and after her marriage was annulled, she remained single for the rest of her life. After her annulment, she moved to Bangkok for 3 years to manage her brother Francis and his wife Joanna (Cross)’s store at the Oriental Hotel. She returned to Northern California and worked for Western Electric (Ma Bell) until her early retirement in 1985. She served as a Naval Reserve, attaining the rank of Petty Officer, from 1964 until her retirement from the Navy in 1987. She moved from Sunnyvale to Aptos, CA in 1985 and then in 1989 to Peoria, AZ. She is survived by her niece and nephews John (Linda) Zaremba, Jim (Wendy) Zaremba, MaryAnne Stanislaw, James (Teresa) Stanislaw, Jack (Susan) Stanislaw, Michael (Mary Ann) Stanislaw, and William (Robin) Stanislaw, great nieces and nephews Megan (Phil) Oster, Matthew (Kelli) Zaremba, Katya Stanislaw Lohngoen, Jason (Amy) Stanislaw, Corinne (Jon) Dawson, Adam Stanislaw, Charmaine (Chris) Butler, and Jeffery Stanislaw. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on June 26, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 Palmeras Drive, Sun City, AZ 85373.
