Rose Marie Conover was born September 30, 1937 in Newark, NJ to Michael Maker & Rose (Saldutti) Maker. The oldest of two children, Rose Marie spent her joyful childhood getting into all kinds of trouble with her younger brother Michael Maker. As a young adult, she loved taking trips into New York City to go ice skating with her cherished cousin and best friend Josephine LaTorre. Rose Marie loved the city and often dreamed of being a Rockette. Shortly after graduating from high school, Rose Marie wed and began her family with the much-anticipated birth of her first child, daughter Lisa Michelle (Sasso) Damiano. Rose Marie worked for many years as a Legal Secretary for Albert Eichler, before meeting her second husband Norman Robert Conover whom she spent the next 47 years of her life with. With Norman, she welcomed the birth of her second child, son Robert Scott Conover, and she chose to become a full time homemaker. Family and church were the most important things in Rose Marie’s life. She was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren; David Ross, Brandon, Colin, Corey, and Camryn. Rose Marie was a loving mother and grandmother, a faithful wife, and a devout Christian. She made many long lasting friendships both at home in Annapolis, MD and through church. In her later years, she found great love and challenge playing golf with her dearly loved brother. After losing her husband in March 2017, Rose Marie decided to begin a new chapter of her life in Glendale, AZ. Sadly, this new adventure was cut much too short. After a brief hospitalization with CHF, she chose to spend her last days at home with her son. In her final days, she shared many wonderful memories and her deepest regrets. She left this world much too quickly in the early morning of July 31, 2017. Rose Marie’s final wishes were for her friends and family to live their lives to the fullest so they would not be burdened with regrets of things they never got to do. She asked that her Earthly body to be laid to rest in the warmth of the Arizona sun. Family graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. August 8, 2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
