Ronald Tonkin

Ronald T. Tonkin, 77, was born on May 24th, 1941 in New York City and passed away at his home in Surprise, AZ on Jan. 18, 2019. He was the youngest of eight children born to Edwin and Anna Tonkin. Ron will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years, Cathy; his son Scott Tonkin, daughter Laura (Dan) Tolmachoff; his grandchildren Daniel and Christine Tolmachoff, brother Frank (Nettie), sister Irine, and countless extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edward and Craig; sisters Molly, Virginia and Marilyn. He was a hard worker who celebrated 50 years as a Steamfitter with Local #638 in New York. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends, especially to enjoy good food or a round of golf. He was a generous man, helpful, and volunteered for several organizations though out his life. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Wednesday January 30th at 10:30 am at the Elks Club #2559 at 10760 W. Union Hills Dr in Sun City.
