Ronald Lind

December 31, 1969 — February 19, 2014

82, of Sun City, passed away suddenly on Feb. 14, 2014, after celebrating his 61st wedding anniversary with his wife Alyce and friends at dinner. He was born in Chicago, IL on May 21, 1931. He had a very successful career in insurance for 45 years, retiring in 1997 to Sun City. He proudly served in the Marine Corps serving in Korea. He was a member of the Bocce Club (past president), Chicago Cook County Club, Wisconsin Club of Sun City West. He served as the property inspector at Oakmont Rec Center for 10 years, served on Insurance Committee. For many years he helped teach Bocce Ball for the Special Olympics. He loved the “Cubs” “Notre Dame”, the “Bears”, horse racing and playing poker. He is survived by his high school sweetheart Alyce, sons Charles (Bonnie) and James (Nikki), grandchildren Eric (Angela), Jason, Wesley, Jennifer & Melissa, great-granddaughters Rosalie and Holly. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Robert. He loved his family very much and was so proud of his sons and grandchildren’s accomplishments. We will miss him very much “Always”! He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and member of St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at. St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ with a reception to follow in St. Anne’s Hall. Interment with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
