Robert William Serynek, 47, entered Heaven on March 1, 2014. He was born Jan. 31, 1967 in Fort Belvoir, VA to Henry Jr. & Marie Serynek. He lived in Maui, Hawaii for 25 years before moving to Sun City in 1991, also living in Pinetop, AZ for 5 years. Robert’s life was tragically ended early due to an auto accident. However, in his short life he touched many hearts. He helped to care for his ailing grandfather, he cared for a friend until his passing, and would spend endless time visiting a retired priest. He lived with and cared for his disabled parents who are lost without him. Robert was a volunteer for the Sun City Handicapables, a member of the Special Olympics in bowling, representing Hawaii in the Nationals in Minneapolis in 1990 and a member of TOPS. Robert was always watching out for anyone who needed help. He especially enjoyed helping the elderly and those less fortunate than himself. He loved to joke and make people laugh. He will be greatly missed! He leaves his parents Henry Jr. his sister Renee Woudenberg (Ron); his brother Henry III (Peg); niece Jenna Coelho; nephews Jayson (Sarah) Coelho, Kimo (Denise) Coelho & Justin Serynek; great-nieces Jacelyn & Gianna Coelho & great-nephew Eli Coelho; his aunt Carolyn Serynek of Sun City; his dog Dexter and many other family members across the country. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ.
