Robert Painter, 84, formerly of Ballwin, MO, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2011. He had lived in Arizona since 1996 to follow his love of golf. He was a WWII veteran, a strong, loyal family man, and friend to many with a wonderful sense of humor. He brought laughter and smiles wherever he went and was always willing to help a friend or neighbor. He lived life honestly and taught you to stand for what you believed. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; a younger brother Alvie, his children William Painter, Robert Painter, Wanda Flynn, and Debra Wedepohl, all of the St. Louis area. He has two grandsons, Ryan and Alex Wedepohl of Hillsboro, MO. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Rios and Penney Painter. Services will be held Tuesday, September 27,2011 at 11:00 am at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley or Parkinson’s Foundation.
