Robert Meek, Jr.

Meek Jr., Robert C. Of Sun City, 71 passed away on February 3, 2009. Robert was born and raised in Carrolton, Illinois. In his earlier years he pitched softball with the KC's. He moved to Michigan in 1967 where he met his future wife Alice. He moved to Arizona in 1976 and started his own business as a regional factory salesman in the automotive/petroleum industry. He operated his business for 9 years and was highly respected in the industry for 20 + years. He was a proud father of two sons, Kevin and Kyle. He was an avid golfer, loved cars, rock cabbing and fishing. He was a member of the Silver Smith Club in Sun City. He is survived by his wife Alice, son Kevin, Sister Sandy, brother Don, sister-in-law Jandie, and four nieces Michelle, Kathy, Carmen, and Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his son Kyle, his mother Helen, and his father Robert "Clinton" Sr. He will be greatly missed by everyone who met him. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church at 11625 N. 111 th Avenue, Sun City on Monday February 9th at 9:30 a.m. A viewing will be held at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City on Sunday February 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to The American Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org
