Robert MD MSM MPH

Bob passed away suddenly on March 14th.   He was born in Chicago in 1959 and attended the University of Illinois for undergraduate and graduate studies in Agronomy and then medical school.  His years as a dedicated family physician and public health provider began as staff physician and then medical director of Clinica Adelante from 1990-1999.  His service was recognized in 1999 when he was named the National Health Service Corps Physician of the Year.  He added certification as a Geriatrician and developed his private practice from 2000-2008.  Bob was continuing on a journey of a new career in public health.  He recently completed two Masters degrees in Public Health and in Management. Bob was a true life-long learner and teacher. He loved music and the outdoors, especially hiking Daisy Mountain with his devoted canine companion Kiera.  He will be dearly missed by his family; his wife of 30 years Barbara; daughter Jillian and son Ben; parents Ed and Joan; siblings Paul, Ed (deceased) and Lynn; and mother-in-law Virginia.  A private remembrance was held. Donations in memory of Bob may be given to the Foundation for Blind Children or the Nature Conservancy.
