Robert Hartin

Robert John Hartin, 93, of Sun City, AZ passed away Nov. 1, 2014. Mr. Hartin was born Sept. 24, 1921 in Middlebury, VT to William and Ellen Hartin. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army Air Corps and was a glider pilot. An Arizona resident since 1954, he worked as a bartender tending bar at Durant’s Restaurant during the 1960’s, and at Truelich’s during the 1970’s and 1980’s. He is survived by his wife Norma; children Steve Hartin, Cindy Peterson (Curt), Susie Hartin, Donna Uptain and Diana Gignac (Dan) and three grandchildren Kayla, Michael & Jennifer. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
