85, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2016. Born to Harry and Maude Moore in Hampton, Iowa, he is survived by Velma, his high school sweetheart and wife of 67 years, and three children - Sue (Chuck) Haney, Sandy Hudson, Mike (Mickey) Moore; sister, Gerry (Keith) Robinson of Atlantic, Iowa, and sisters-in-law Margaret Rodgers of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Pearl Als of Hampton, Iowa. Bob was blessed with seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He worked for the Maytag Company for 15 years and after moving to Arizona found employment through the Teamsters at Continental Bakery and as a warehouse manager for a local liquor distributor. Bob will always be remembered by his family as a wonderful husband, amazing father, and loving brother, grandfather and uncle. His children loved him for his honesty, faithfulness, work ethic, fun adventures, and being an all-around great dad. He was a humble, hardworking man who determined to do the right thing and cherished his family, willingly making many personal sacrifices for them. Over the years through work and other activities, Bob developed many special friendships. Family meant everything to him, and he loved spending time with family and friends, camping, boating, fishing and traveling with Velma across the western states by Goldwing and motor home following his favorite ASU Sun Devils football team. Many wonderful loving memories remain with all of us. The family would like to express our deep appreciation to the staff at Sarah’s Place at Glencroft and Hospice of the Valley for the loving care Bob received. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to purchase a fountain in his honor to be set at Sarah’s Place or to Hospice of the Valley. There is a celebration of his life planned for Saturday, April 23, at Pleasant Harbor Marina-Lake Pleasant at 2:00 pm.
