Robert J Conner, affectionately known as Bob, passed away on March 30, 2025, in Sun City, Arizona, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven with love and laughter. He was born on August 10, 1960, in Rockville, Maryland, where his adventurous spirit began to take shape.
Bob was an entrepreneur at heart, driven by an unwavering passion for cars. From the moment he learned to drive, he was captivated by the mechanics of automobiles, always buying, fixing, and reselling them. This lifelong love affair with cars culminated in the ownership of a CarQuest franchise in Phoenix, where he thrived for over 30 years. His dedication to his business was paralleled only by the dedication he showed to his friends and family.
Bob's personality illuminated every room he entered. He had a huge heart and an infectious laughter that seemed to echo long after he left. Adventurous and quick-witted, he lived life to its fullest, embracing every moment with open arms. His loyalty knew no boundaries; he was not just a collector of cars and guitars but also of friends. His innate ability to connect with people made him a trusted confidant and a shoulder to lean on. Bob was always there for those in need, taking the time to listen and offer support.
Among his proudest accomplishments was his remarkable ability to fix almost anything that was broken, including the hearts of those around him. He was a loving husband to Sandy Conner, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is also survived by his siblings, Troy Conner, Kim Kelly, and David Conner, and the beloved Kelvington and Ovalle families, along with many extended families across the country who will remember him fondly.
Bob had a deep love for speed, with his cherished Corvettes and his favorite Chevelle reflecting his passion. His interests extended to music as well, filling his life with melodies that resonated deeply within his soul. Friends from all walks of life are mourning his passing, each carrying a cherished memory of the time spent with this remarkable man.
Preceding him in death were his devoted parents, Troy and Betty Conner, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. As we celebrate Bob’s life, we recall the countless moments he gifted us—the laughter, the adventures, and the unwavering love. In many ways, Bob may be gone from our sight, but he will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of friendship and joy that will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
