Robert Bates

Robert L. Bates, 65, of Phoenix, AZ passed away August 11, 2008 of cancer. Bob was a Navy veteran. He enjoyed his many friends, sandrailing, boating and Harley riding. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Terri Layne Sutton; grandchildren, Nicole and Alexis Sutton; and mother, Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd, and son Jeff. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arizona Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
