74, passed away peacefully on January 10th after enjoying the Cardinals win on Sunday. He was raised in the Caledonia, New York area, served in the U.S. Army, and moved to Phoenix in the late fifties. Richard was an avid racehorse handicapper who owned several winning thoroughbreds at Turf Paradise, including El Clove and Better Believe. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ruth, and his sisters Mary Clements of Caledonia, New York and Joan Hilger of Chili, New York. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Hort and Kate Wall, brother Jimmy, and niece Mary Catherine Martell. He dearly loved and was adored by his nieces and nephews Tim Clements(Anne), Karen Clements, Steve Clements(Kristin), Peanut Parnell(David), Danny Wall, Mike O’Donnell(Barb), Mark O’Donnell(Stefanie), Matt Olin, Mimi Fierle(Scott), Greg Kares(Jolene), and Diana Brazzeal(Dennis). Richard cherished all of his great nieces and nephews Tim and Mike; Jillian and Allison; Katie, Vicki, and Valerie; Ryan and Caitlin; Sean and Katie; Alexandra and Reid; Abigail and Kam; Michael and Sarah; Kai, Kobi, and Avery; and Laura Anne. He was also survived by his life-long friends and chosen brother and sister, Gil and Audrey Morales and their children Annie Pie, Kari, David, and Bean, and dear friends Frank and Dawn Russo, who helped to make possible so many adventures in near and faraway places. He enjoyed laughter, good stories, supporting the Diamondbacks and Cardinals, playing euchre, canasta tournaments, and after winning, rubbing it in. His Irish wit and charm touched all who met him. We wish to thank the wonderful, dedicated staff of nurses and doctors at the Veterans Hospital, SCI Unit, who cared about him for so many years. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Sun City at 10AM Saturday, January 16th. Should friends desire, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
