Richard Randa

Richard, of Sun City, born February 18, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away September 24, 2011, at the age of 82.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Jane (nee Krause); daughters Diane Wright (David) and Arlene Gilroy (Steven) both of California; grandchildren Dawn McKenna, Gilbert Wright, Karen Wright Bullock, and Kelly Dykstra; great-grandchildren Gavin McKenna, Devyn McKenna and Mallory Dykstra; brothers James Randa and J. Patrick Randa, and sister Margaret Moldenhauer; other relatives and friends.  Richard was a veteran of the Korean War and Past Commander of American Legion Post 449, Elm Grove, Wisconsin and retired as Assistant Fire Chief, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin in 1985.   He was a member of:  Wauwatosa Retired Firefighters Association, St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Church, St. Joachim and St. Anne Men’s Club, Sundial Men’s Club and North American Fishing Club.  Memorial service will be held Friday, September 30 at St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Avenue, Sun City, with rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at 10:00 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard’s name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
