Richard Francis Derr December 2, 1935 – December 24, 2020 Born in Massillon, OH Resided in Sun City, AZ On Thursday, December 24, 2020 Richard (Dick) Derr from Massillon passed away in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Owens) Derr, daughters, Tammi (Don) Gainer & Valerie Derr.: grandchildren, Tiffany (Paul) Dennis, Don (Andrea) Gainer, Jr., Chad Gainer & 8 great-grandchildren. Richard was a long-time member of the Tigertown Boat & Ski Club. He was an avid fan and booster club member the Massillon Tigers Football team. He enjoyed many outdoor activities; snow & water skiing, dirt bikes, hiking, & biking. After many years of wintering in Arizona Richard, along with his wife, became permanent residents of Sun City, Arizona where he enjoyed his favorite outdoor activities of biking and hiking and became a member of the Fairway woodworking club. A private family memorial service will be held in Ohio at a later date.
