Reverend S. Nelson

November 24, 1916-July 15, 2013 Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was ordained to ministry in 1941. A 30 year Sun City resident, he served as the Chaplain at the Sun Valley Lodge 1982-1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvera to whom he was married for 66 years. He is survived by his children, Edward and Nancy; 5 grandchildren: Chad, Scot, Troy, & Robert Bryant, and Rita Thompson; 7 great grandchildren: Marlee, Zachary, Jason, Matthew, Leo, Olivia, & Silas and 1 great great grandchild Brylin. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. with funeral service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment to follow at Sunland Memorial Park.
