Quezene Turley (Smokey), who was the love, laughter, and light of our family's life, left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6th 2016. He was a prolific singer/song writer and recorded many songs during the 1950's in Phoenix, Arizona on the Viv label. His most popular song was "Rain On the Mountain, released also in the U.S. and Germany. He will be greatly missed by his wife Dolores, daughter Pam Baker, sons Bobby Gene and Elmo, and his brother Bob. Also his grandchildren Paul, Kimberly, Joshua and Chad. As well as great grandchildren Courtney, Bree, MacKenzie, and Aidan. He was very lucky to be followed by 5 generations of family members. A last member being a great, great grandson, 4 years old, who was named Zayne Quezene Powers after his grandfather. His funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14th 2016 at 1pm at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 No. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona, Telephone 623-979-6451. Please plan to join us in the fellowship hall after the service. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the Phoenix Children's Hospital in memory of Quezene Turley.
