Phyllis Laughton

Phyllis Claudine Nash Laughton, 80, of Sun City passed away April 17, 2007. Phyl was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma and graduated high school there; went to Alva, OK college for one year, married and moved to California where she stayed for 40 years, then to Colorado for 5 years, retiring to Sun City in 1997. Phyl worked in the automotive business in office work and as the business manager the last 7 years before retirement. Phyl has been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since July 11, 1969 which led her to her membership with the Church of Religious Science. She is survived by her husband Bruce Norman Laughton; daughters: Tanya David Every of Maui, HI, Sherry Bill Gates of Kent, WA, Deborah Gates of Des Moines, IA and Pamela Scott Wheeler of Carlsbad, CA. Her sister Ina Tommy Melton of Kissimmee, FL and her brother Jack Millie Nash of Colorado Springs, CO. 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.
