Paul Yash

Paul James Yash, age 88, of Sun City, Arizona passed away on November 18, 2006. He was born July 25, 1918 in Struthers, OH, son of the late Catherine Phillips and Andrew Yash, deceased. Paul married his beloved wife Katherine, on 9/3/1949 who preceded him in death on 5/28/96, as did his son John A. Yash on 9/5/04. Dear brother of the late deceased: William, Andrew, John, Joseph, Steve, and sister Catherine, Sr. M. Celestine, VSC. He is survived by nieces Mary Gappen and Katherine Delost and several great nieces and nephews. Paul honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific during WWII. He re-entered the U.S. Army Air Corps, assigned to the European Theatre, and later served at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Paul honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired in Colorado and in 1986 he moved to Arizona. He has been a long time resident of Sun City, AZ. Visitation will be 8:00 AM-10:30 AM on Monday, November 27, 2006 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. Sun City, AZ. Funeral Mass will follow on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment with U.S. Air Force Honors will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
