Patricia Ann Day, affectionately known as Patty, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, at her home in Sun Lakes, Arizona. Born on July 21, 1928, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Patty lived a vibrant and adventurous life that touched the hearts of many.
Patty was a remarkable woman with an energetic spirit and a zest for life. Her career as a Bank Officer exemplified her dedication and professionalism, but it was her passion for travel that truly defined her essence. With an Associates Degree and keen curiosity, she explored the corners of the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. Patty was a social butterfly, effortlessly meeting people from all walks of life and making friends wherever she went.
A lover of literature and media, her insatiable thirst for knowledge was matched only by her fondness for golf. She enjoyed countless hours on the green, relishing both the game and the camaraderie it brought. Patty's spirit resonated with those who were fortunate enough to know her; her laughter, kindness, and adventurous stories will always be cherished.
Patty is survived by her step-daughter Lynn Day and a host of nieces and nephews, who will carry fond memories of family gatherings filled with warmth and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William H. Day; siblings, Maree Bakrow, John Walsh, and Robert W Walsh; two nephews, Bruce Backrow and Keith Walsh; and her parents, John and Mary Walsh.
Throughout her life, Patty significantly impacted everyone around her, reminding us all to embrace life fully, seek out adventure, and to connect with others. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched. Patty’s legacy of love, adventure, and friendship will continue to inspire us all to live boldly and travel far.
