Pat Cropley

December 31, 1969 — August 24, 2011

Pat R. Cropley, of Sun City, passed August 23, 2011. Pat moved to Sun City in 1982 after closing the electronic sales organization she and her husband operated in Littleton, Colorado. Pat always had a concern for nature, birds and animals. She enjoyed birding and RV’ed to many Arizona and National preserves. She was primary caregiver for Sun City’s Mute Swans, and known to many as the Sun City “Swan Lady”. A past president of Sun Cities 4 Paws Rescue, her accomplishments include acquisition and remodeling of the cat shelter building, establishment of their partnership with PetsMart, and expansions at the Youngtown store. Before moving to Sun City she bred and showed Dandie Dinmont Terriers and Scottish Terriers. She is survived by Husband Beryl, stepson Bret of Charlotte, NC, stepdaughter Dawn of Frederic, MI, and 3 grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at Woodmark of Sun City, and Legacy Hospice for care provided in the final months. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m., Monday August 29th at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City with services in the Menke Chapel the following day at 10:00 AM. You have left a big hole in our lives, we will all miss you Pat.
