Celebrating the Life of Pacita Canonoy Romero
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we honor the beautiful life of Pacita Canonoy Romero, who passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Born on May 26, 1936, in the charming coastal town of Maripipi, Leyte, Philippines, Pacita brought light and warmth to everyone she met. Her faith was her foundation, and as a devoted member of the Catholic Church, she radiated grace, kindness, and an unwavering love for life.
Pacita’s heart was a sanctuary of love—a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a playful grandmother, and a treasured friend. She enriched lives with her gentle spirit, wisdom, and boundless compassion, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness. Though her presence will be deeply missed, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Felipe Romero, her cherished son, Ricardo "Boogie" Romero, and her siblings, Manay, Soledad, and Delita, whose memories she held dear throughout her life.
Her legacy continues through her loving daughters: Helen Romero Salazar, Marita Romero, Rose McRae, Marilou Romero, and Gloria Lamb; her son-in-law Brian Lamb; her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Pacita’s laughter, dancing, singing, stories, and unwavering faith will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew her.
We invite you to celebrate Pacita’s remarkable life at her memorial on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Our Lady of the Valley, 3220 W Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85053. The memorial will begin with a viewing and rosary at 4:00 PM, followed by a Mass at 5:00 PM. Together, let us honor her memory, share cherished stories, and find solace in the legacy of love she leaves behind at the Jamz House, 3602 W. Sunnyside Ave, Phoenix, AZ 856029,
May Pacita’s soul find eternal peace, her memory was a guiding light and her spirit forever a melody of love and faith. She will continue to dance and sing, her joy resonating wherever she is.
