Norman Joseph Robarge age 88 went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2015. Norm was born on November 6, 1926 in Waukegan Illinois to Henry and Leona Robarge. He served his country joining the U.S. Marines in 1945 as a machine gun crewman on the USS Guam. Upon discharge, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and later became a radiation control protection technician. He retired from Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. Norm was an avid motorcycle racer, pilot, and baseball fan. He also loved to play golf and in later years devoted his time to family, friends, and his beloved dog Bud. He will be deeply missed. Norm was a past member of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church and currently a member of Desert Streams Lutheran Church in Surprise. Memorial services will be held on Sunday September 27th at 4:30pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd. Sun City West. A light meal will be served at the church following the service. Interment will be 10:30 am., Monday, September 28, 2015 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix. Norm was proceeded in death by his former wife Janius Robarge Craig and wife Alice Robarge and brother Ron Robarge. He is survived by his wife Rev. Barbara, sons Randy (Sue), Rick, and step daughter Heidi Gannuscio (Joe), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and brother Kenneth Robarge.
