Norma Hallock Nytes (Fosha), 92, a 34 year resident of Sun City, Arizona passed away October 22, 2014. Born Norma Anita Ames in Buda, Illinois on October 28, 1921 to James Andrew Ames and Gladys Lavina Clark Ames of Bradford, Illinois. She married Warren Arthur Hallock in 1941 and they had three children. Mr. Hallock, the founder of the Hallock Company, preceded her in death in 1978. She was educated at Illinois State University, BA degree, Marycrest College in Davenport, IA 1953 (now a part of the University of Iowa): Home Economics, English and Education. Norma was a teacher at Mount Pleasant School, grades 1-8 (1947) and many others over many years (including Most Holy Trinity and the Minnetonka School System in Minnesota). Norma remarried Howard Nytes, dairy farmer, of New Prague, MN in 1980 and he preceded her in 1995. Norma remarried Leon Fosha, retired Professor of Music, of Bloomington, in 2006 and he preceded her in 2008. She had past memberships of the Dutch Reformed Church in Moline, IL; First Baptist Church and Congregational Church in West Hartford, CT and Congregational Church of Sun City (where she participated in Bible study classes and served as an usher). She was also past president of Four Peaks Condominium Assn. of Sun City. Norma was an avid reader and world traveler (including interior United States as well as Alaska and Hawaii, Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Grand Bahama Island). She is survived by her children Suzy Hallock-Bannigan, Brian Ames Hallock and Vicki Raymond; grandchildren Elizabeth Brook Butterworth of Dubai UAE and Rye, NY, Benjamin Butterworth of Rochester, NH, Andrea Ruark, Brandon Hallock, Blake Hallock and Sue Campbell-Bill all of Minnesota; great grandchildren Isabelle Newland, Miranda Newland, Benjamin Newland, Hailey Bill and Gabriel Ruark. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
