Noel J Roundy peacefully returned back to his heavenly home on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 9:04am. Noel J began his mortal experience on November 15, 1943 in Redding, California. He was the second of two sons born to Quinn and Luella (Adair) Roundy. His father was in the construction business which created an opportunity for him to live in several different states and attend 17 different schools during his childhood. All the moving in childhood created a lifelong love of travel for Noel J. He was able to travel to 26 different counties including multiple trips to Europe, Hawaii, Central and South America and of course many different places around the United States.
Noel J graduated from high school in Phoenix, AZ in May of 1961. At the age of 19 he served a 2.5 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Chile. He then served six honorable years as a United States Air Force Reserve. After serving in the reserves, Noel J helped establish and worked with the family owned and operated business, Roundy Towing. Later on in life he obtained two masters degrees, one in education and another in counseling. He had a love of learning and a desire to help others be their best selves. This desire gave him the opportunity to be a counselor for the Arizona Justice System where he assisted others in overcoming their struggles.
Noel J is survived by his wife April (Goodman) Roundy. His 4 children, Ryan (Tiffany), Karen (Matthew), Jared (Robyn) and Patricia. Along with 9 grandchildren, 5 step children and 19 step grandchildren and his best friend and brother, Bernell Roundy.
Noel J also leaves behind many friends who will remember his generous spirit, warm smile, great sense of humor and the many exciting stories he always loved to share. The family would like to sincerely thank the many friends, teachers and mentors who helped Noel J along the way. He became the man he was because of their generous support and never-ending love. Sincere gratitude is also extended to the many caretakers who made his last few years on earth comfortable and peaceful.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 12pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 12951 N. 83rd Lane Peoria, AZ 85381.
