Nathaniel Smith Sr. Nathaniel Smith Sr. passed from this life in Phoenix, Arizona on April 24, 2020 at age 79. Nathaniel Smith was born August 26, 1940 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Elmer and Everlena Smith Sr. He was the husband of Elaine Smith. They were married for 59 years. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 3 brothers- Jim Eddy, Elmer Jr, Rufus and 2 sisters- Margaret and Mary Alice. He is survived by his siblings- MacArthur Smith, Luther Smith, Felix Smith and Marilyn Shellman. To Nathaniel and Elaine’s union were born 3 children: Shirley Lytle of Seattle, WA; Nathaniel Smith Jr of Glendale, Az: James Smith, Chandler, Az. He left 8 grandchildren: David Lytle, Nathaniel Smith III, Alicia Smith, Kyran Smith, Clarence Smith, Myles Smith, Jalissa Smith and James Smith and 6 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Menke Funeral Home at 12420 North 103rd Avenue, Sun City on Friday, May 1st from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Memorial grave side service will be held at Sunwest Cemetery, 12525 North West Grand Ave, El Mirage, Az on Friday, May 1st at 2:00 pm.
